Blood Centers of America, Inc., (BCA) is a cooperative representing community blood centers located throughout the United States. BCA member blood centers provide over thirty-eight percent of the nation's transfusion requirements.

BCA's focus is on improving the operations and business activities of the member blood centers. BCA provides contract management for the purchase and sale of medical plastics, therapeutic proteins, and recovered plasma. BCA provides an active blood exchange that assures an adequate supply of blood to all member centers and shares excesses with other non member centers. BCA provides technology partnering for product development, clinical trials, product testing and implementation work groups.
